GRATEFUL SERIES: LIE
Last week I got a scam call. They use our company's number hence I pick up the call, thought that maybe its true things since they said it was a call from court. But the fishy things here, they ask for my identity card number. I thought it is the process for me to know if there any sue towards the company hence I gave my identity card number.
Suddenly, they said I have an unpaid credit card payment. I was so shocked. I never apply for any credit card before so how can I have one? They keep on blaming me that I might copy my identity card and give to the third party without put a crossing in it. They said I am not being careful enough and this might happened.
Because I said that I never lost my card and the last I gave my card copy is last year for opening my savings account at the bank.
The funny thing is I am so broke at that time and they ask me the balance in my bank. When I said I only left with RM4, he sound so surprised. LOL.
To make story short, I knew it was a scam call when my boss said his relative received the same call. And her money gone since she give her bank account number. Thank goodness the scammer didn't ask me for my bank account number. My boss said after this if the same call appeared, just said, "I will make a police report in my nearby police station. I will not make it in the call." Yes the call is transferred from the court to police station. They even told me to google the police station number, if the number is same with the number appear in my cellphone. How can the number that appeared was same? The technology nowadays, hmm. If they used their creativity to scam someone to something that can improve this world into something better, isn't it will be more wonderful? Haih la dia orang ni. They even asked me to change my profile picture that can show my face well. I will never do that after I knew about this scam thing.
After I knew about it, I am so grateful that I am a broke person. This was a first time I felt that. Before this I kept on think, if I am a millionaire it will be much better. I can join classes, can bought so many books without worry about my savings, treat my family with everything they want and travelling around the world.
Lets say that Allah helps me and I can never be more grateful.
If we look at positive perspective, it looks like Allah want to teach me to be more grateful in whatever situation I am in.
It was like, He told me that the time you asked for is not suitable to come yet. You have to wait. Patiently. He knows better than me. I should keep on praying. I should stop whining why the time is not come yet.
And yeah, I have to be more careful after this.
Alhamdulillah for this lesson.
For you guys that received the same call, please be alert. If you smell something fishy, just ignore.
NEVER GIVE YOUR BANK INFORMATION TO STRANGERS EASILY.
Love,
